What we collect

When you contact BDSaint or request a quote, we may collect your name, email address, telephone number, business or project details and the information you choose to include in your message. When you register for BDSaint Chat, we collect your nickname, email address, date of birth, a securely hashed password, and information needed to confirm your email address. Basic technical information, such as IP address and browser data, may also be processed by the server for security and reliability.

Google Analytics 4 may process online identifiers and usage information such as pages viewed, browser and device details, approximate location, referral source and engagement with ordinary site features. BDSaint does not intentionally send quote-form entries or other directly identifying information to Google Analytics.

Why we use it

  • To protect the website, prevent spam and investigate misuse.
  • To understand aggregated site use and improve the website.
  • To meet legitimate record-keeping, legal or contractual obligations where applicable.

Who may receive it

BDSaint does not sell enquiry information. Information may be handled by service providers that help operate the website, email delivery or hosting, only where needed for those services. Google provides the analytics service under its applicable terms and privacy documentation. We may disclose information where required by law or to protect rights, safety or security.

Retention and security

We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably needed for the purpose it was collected for, legitimate business records or legal obligations. We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information, but no internet transmission or storage method can be guaranteed completely secure.

Processing in South Africa and abroad

BDSaint is based in South Africa and processes information in line with applicable South African privacy requirements, including POPIA. Some service providers, including Google Analytics, may store or process information outside South Africa. Where that is necessary, BDSaint will take reasonable steps to use providers and safeguards appropriate to the service and the information involved.

Your choices and requests

You may ask what personal information BDSaint holds about you, request correction or deletion where appropriate, or object to certain processing where applicable. Email info@bdsaint.co.za with enough detail for us to identify and verify your request.

Complaints and contact

Please raise privacy concerns with BDSaint first at info@bdsaint.co.za so we can investigate them. You may also have the right to complain to the South African Information Regulator.
